Happy New Year!

Wow, was that a full week that just flew by.......
Our yearly inventory mission is complete and very
successful. Along the way we had a few good finds
that turned up in the end.
Rossi/Moto GP fans

This one sold out in just a few weeks when it was orinally released,
somehow we have 6 sitting on the shelf? The good news is you're
getting a 2nd crack at it.

1:18 Ferrari street cars to your liking?

This is the original release from 2008.
It has been sold out for well over a year.
We found a case stashed in the Kyosho aisle.

OK, I'm outta here. Time to pre-game for the
ringing in of the New Year.
Great big thanks goes out to all of you that

Fresh pavement at Daytona

For only the 2nd time in history Daytona is getting repaved.
19 weeks and 100 millions pounds of asphalt later........
They are scheduled to test on it next week, should be cool.
I have received these pix from several of you, so figured I would
share the love. This has got to be an incredible operation. Every
piece of equipment needs to be secured from both sides due to
the steepness of the banking. Most of you know that NASCAR
is not my thing, but hoping to get down there in March for bike
week to see the 2 wheelers run the high banking.

That's all for today......
Have a good one!

Till next time.....

the current offer.

BTW, while there click on the live chat and give a
shout out to this cat.

Hats off to my buddy Tim Vickridge from Australia
for giving me this new look. Only one problem: Not
sure my Santa hat will fit over the top of it. We can't
have that, as I won't be able to deliver all those models
on Christmas eve this year.
Tons of goodies arriving this week, new video shoot
coming soon.
Have a good one!

Chillin' on Sunday

Vettel wears F1 crown!

I know a lot of you watched it this morning live, if you didn't
you missed a doozy! It was definitely up for grabs and four
drivers potentially could have won the Championship in this
last race of the season. Vettel becomes the youngest F1 World
Champ of all time and only the 2nd German to win it. The replay
is at 4:30 EST on Speed. I have the 1:43 and the 1:18 versions
from Minichamps on the home page/featured products. Click the

A little early for snow......

But what the heck......
The boss has been sick this week, but I managed to muster
up the energy to hit Killington for opening day yesterday.
It was absolutely beautiful and the snow was soft and deep.

When mother nature doesn't cooperate, these "smoke guns" as
we like to call them can churn out some serious snow. Chilly temps
at night has allowed them to make snow for almost a full week.

Looking over at NH from the peak. We are definitely spoiled!

All this white stuff means put away the bikes and get those
sleds tuned up and ready to go. Winter is here early this year!
Catch ya L8r.

Monday, November 1, 2010

check this one out.....

Looks like AA wants a piece of the high end market?
Pics look incredible, but will the average collector pay 3
hundy for an Autoart? We'll find out soon enough......
Stay tuned!

Bunch of new arrivals

Popped in for a few hours, catching up on some email
and just enough time for a quickie post.
By the way, I was recently referred to by a long time
customer as his "model pimp". Laughed like hell, never
heard that one before. I like to refer to our relationships as
"you're all junkies and I'm you're dealer".

OK, ton of stuff this week. Well worth the time to hit the new
1:18 and 1:43 categories.
Autoart dropped a 1:18 bomb on us and Minichamps backed
that up with a slew of 1:43, Street cars, race cars, old cars, new
But before that, let's go big to small this week.

CMC brought us Lucybelle 2 in 1:18 scale, well Amalgam has
just announced it in massive 1:8 scale. Complete opening features
and engine detail which isn't always the case with these over the
top resin monsters.

Speaking of Autoart, in that same shipment was this color
variation of the Bugatti Veyron in 1:12 scale. Autoart is on
a relentless journey to dominate this scale.

Just click this picture of Jim Clark's Lotus Cortina to see
all the 1:18 arrivals we got this week.

And click on the Hippie Porsche to see all the new 1:43 arrivals
from Minichamps.
OK, gotta get ready to go out for cabbage night.......
Hope ya'll have a great weekend!

Few links

I have been meaning to throw out a few PR plugs for some of
our friends. If you're like me and you like to watch motorsports
then you will benefit from my friend Tom at:
This site lists all motorsports action on every major network.
Easy to navigate and well worth having this one on your favorites.

In the market for a custom slot car track lay out? Well, these are a
bit pricey but oh so cool. Check out:
Dave can replicate any famous track or build to your custom specs.
I'm hoping that Santa will bring me a Watkins Glen lay out.

I constantly get requests for the Minichamps and Spark master listings.
So here they are:

If you want to stay up to speed on the latest in the automotive world:

And of course one that I visit often is:

OK, that's it for today. Be back at ya tomorrow with the latest greatest
from the model industry.

Up late tonight?

Any body staying up late for the Korean GP?
My money is on Webber. Would love to see him as F1 World Champ.
Rossi gets the OK to test the Ducati...woo-hoo for the red team!
It's almost time to put the bikes away and get the sleds out. We
had snow on the ground this morning.
Many of you know that brother Brian is a pure bred-motor head.
Anything that has a motor, he wants to modify it.
In the winter months we ride these crazy things called snowmobiles
to fill our need for speed.
Here's one of our latest ventures inspired by Brian's passion.
Brian designed and mfg. the first ever carbon fiber muffler for a
snowmobile. We specialize in Ski-Doo after market performance
parts, but plan to branch out to other brands soon.
Many thanks to all you crazy Canadians to the "nord" that are
supporting us.
Will keep you updated as the season gets closer.
Guess that's it....

crazy weather.....

The fall foliage is still in full bloom, but try to tell mother nature that!
At near by Killington Ski Area, they were reporting 10 inches of snow
at 1:00pm today.

Don't think it will last, but this is a sign of an epic winter coming.......

The ever trecherous Killington Pass. This place is not kind to truckers.

OK, let's throw a little biz in before I call it a day.

The Tokyo Hobby Fair is going on this week. Here are a few spy photos
that the model paparazzi leaked. 1968 Mark Donohue Sunoco Camaro
Trans-Am Champion. If this one is of interest, get your pre-orders in now.

Spark was also showcasing the 2010 F1 models.

SP3001 Virgin of Timo Glock

SP3005 Sauber of Kamui Kobayashi

SP3007 Lotus of Heiki Kovalainen

OK, I'm intomorrow. I have more but gotta fly.
Have a good weekend!

Getting close......FINALLY

1:18 Ferrari 512BB by BBR

We have been waiting almost 2 years for this one.....
It's being shipped as we speak, so if you don't have an order
in now is the time to pre-order. Limited edition of only 509
pieces, already pre-sold out from BBR. We won't have many
left after we fill all the pre-orders, so this is last call for you
high end 1:18 Ferrari collectors. This one is definitely in the
running for model of the year.
Happy Tuesday!!

TGIF again?

Wow, doing track days on Wednesdays really makes the
week fly by huh? Well, we got one dry session to start the day,
the rest was run in the wet. I did get the award for most laps
completed at 147. Oh yeah, I was one of the idiots that they had
to pull off the track at 4:30 and tell me to go home now. Even in
the wet it's a blast. Kept it upright all day so I'm considering that
a moral victory. OK, I will be in over the weekend, but I couldn't
wait on this one......
We only have a few cases arriving next week.
Autoart 1:18

'69 Watkins Glen Winner Redman/Siffert
Click the image to check it out on the site.
A good weekend to all.

If you missed it.....

Moto GP from Japan this past weekend.

The doctor is taking some heat for his "riding style"
while dicing with potential World Champ and team mate
Jorge Lorenzo. There is no love lost between these two,
which made for some of the best action of the season......

Auction site is live.....FINALLY!!

OK, we only have a dozen or so items up, but we will be
adding more items daily. BTW, I raided the vault........

Check it out, any questions/comments/complaints....
Fire away!

Different strokes......

Many of you know I have a soft spot in my heart for
2 stroke motorcycles. The 2 stroke extravaganza was
held this past weekend in California. Some great shots:

They are talking about having an east coast show next year......
We can only hope!

Here's a way....

To beat rush hour traffic.....

Can you say crazy?
No regard for life?
Experienced risk taker?

call me slacker.....

Quick recap of the past week. I was supposed to work last
Saturday remember? Well, the wife talked me into a day trip
on the bike to Stowe for the British Invasion car show.

Had I known the magnitude, I would have been up there all
weekend. Absolutely incredible cars all over the area. Every
make and model you can think of was there. From Triumph
to Healy's, Lotus to Caterham Super 7's. Also a lot of British
bikes too. Wish I had taken more pix.

The wife admiring yet another beautiful little British car
cruising by. This is at the peak of Mt. Mansfield.

Sunday I was going to work.........

Ended up playing a round at golf at Green Mt. National.
I hate when that happens! As you can see, the leaves
are definitely changing colors. Tiz the season.....

I did work Monday and Tuesday, but Wednesday I played
hooky and did a track day at NH Speedway on the Ducati.

Me and my bud Ken getting ready to head out for another
session. BTW, the red head loves to be ridden hard!

Sixty guys chompin' at the bit to hit the track.....
Hats off to the crew at Seacoast Sport Cycle for putting
on a 1st class show. They fed us, they had instructors on
hand to give us tips, and they waited on us hand and foot
all day long. The best 200 bux I've spent in a long, long time.
I did road race bikes in my previous life, the bug has bit me
Already signed up for another track day Oct. 6.......
Hoping to shoot some on board video next time out.
Will keep ya posted!

Friday, September 17, 2010

Hey Gang...
Headed to Boston bright and early with brother Brian, hookin' up with Tom and Mat Long from GMP for a little biz and then a Red Sox game tonight. I'm playing hooky today, but I will be in tomorrow so I'll hit ya up then......
In the meantime, here's a few vids.....

Danica in her spare time........
Have a good one!

Time flies huh.....

Well, the last week or so has been a blur. I got both daughters off
to college (yes I'm broke) and the house is a lot quiter these days
to say the least. Finally getting back into the groove.
Let's get to some of the latest arrivals we've received in the last week
or so.

Lots of new stuff for the 1:18 crowd.

Spark Model has aquired quite the following of faithful
collectors, all in a very short time. Even though these are
sealed body designs, they are exceptional and the subject
matter is very appealing. You can see the 3 we just got by
clicking the image.

Another Steve McQueen Porsche 908/2.
This one is the #66a as driven to the SCCA Championship
at Holtsville. Just plain good stuff for you Porsche buffs.

Rally anyone?

We received a few different versions of the Audi Quattro
Rally cars from the mid 80's. These have opening features
and well detailed engine and interior. These are the best
1:18 Rally cars on the market IMO.

1:18 Maisto Mercedes SLS AMG

You don't get much in this day and age for under $35.00 in the
1:18 scale world, but I have to say that Maisto has definitely
upped their game with some these latest M-B versions.

Minichamps 2009 Brawn Jenson Button Brazil GP
This is the final version of the Button World Champion car
that we will see. We have less than 10 remaining, so if you
haven't pulled the trigger on this one yet now is the time.

Spark 1:43 shipments are arriving weekly.

We got a slew of Grand Prix and LeMans models in this
week. Click the image to see all the latest/greatest.

And for those of you that like the out of the ordinary....

Bugatti Airplane, this one has been selling like hot cakes.
And I thought we didn't have plane collectors.....

1:43 Colibri Offshore Racing Boat

Another one that is almost sold out, very cool piece!
1:43 British Steam Land Speed Car
The LSC series continues to be one of the best selling
categories for Spark Model. All are very limited editions
so no snoozing please.....
Any slot guys out there? We just got in a mother load
from Carrera including a bunch cars and a few new track sets.
Click the image to see the new category for this week.

OK, that's it for now. The weekend is supposed to be some
beautiful fall weather, so that translated means Mark and the
Ducati will most likely see some miles of smiles.
Hope you all have a good one!
Till next time!
