My few moments of glory......

Took yesterday afternoon off to visit the boys over at BCM Ducati in Laconia, NH. Mega thanks to Leslie for letting me test ride his Desmo RR. For the mere price tag of $72,500.00 you can have one of these gems sitting in your garage. For my biker cronies, all I can say is this: It's the most insane street legal motorcycle ever assembled. The sound of this bike alone will give you chills. But feeling 200HP in between your legs is an unforgettable experience. This thing wants to rip your arms off at any speed. Before they put me in a box and lower me into the ground, I will own one of these. For you high rollers, BCM has one with zero miles that they are letting go for $60,000.00. They are also throwing in the full race exhaust which has a price tag of $10,000.00. Yes I said 10g......
Hope you all have a good weekend!

Many thanks to all that wished me a Happy B-Day. I enjoyed a full day of doing absolutely nothing, did not work one minute. First time in a while.
I'm still shocked at how many of you are reading the blog. This is new found motivation for me, so again thanks to all that check it and leave me your 2 cents.

From my July 15 post, sorry to say that the Gurney Eagle 3 car set is already sold out. This was a L/E of just 300 sets. Those that got one, good for you. Those that didn't, proceed to ebay....
From last week:

New shipment of Ebbro just in, see all the latest here:

Two limited editions from The Franklin Mint. These were not available to us previously. Both are already sold out, we have just 12 pieces of each. M-B 300 SLR and Plymouth GTX triple black.

New Mustang GT350 race version from Exact Detail. It's been a long time since we have seen a new race version.

Want the latest in high performance computer accessories? Check out our selection of Road Mice. Why have a plain old mouse in your hand all day when you can have a car in your hand instead? I'm using the new Chevy Camaro in silver w/black stripes. See our complete selection here:

Hope everyone has a good week.
Until next time....

1967 Gurney F1 Eagle

It's shaping up to be a busy week, some great new arrivals yesterday. For the 1:43 gang True Scale Miniatures brings us the '67 Gurney Eagle. You can have just the Spa winner or we have a few of the 3 car sets still available. Keep in mind, both of these are already sold out from the mfg. So when the stock is gone, that's it. Don't snooze on these!

The 2nd release in the Porsche 935K series by True Scale was also in this new shipment. These are excellent quality for this price range. This is the 1980 LeMans entry driven by Ikuzawa/Strommelan/Plankenhorn

The long awaited Audi 225 from CMC is now in stock. For those of you that love the older classic cars, this one will be a stand out in your collection. The other colors should roll in soon too.

Despite all the rumors about Kyosho not producing any more Ferrari models, we just got the confirmation that the F40 will be produced in 1:12 scale. Scheduled for September delivery, we are now taking pre-orders.
Keep an eye on your mailbox for our "Last Chance" mailer. It's jammed full with every model that we are down to our final stock on. Some we have just a few in stock, so if you see anything that catches your eye order early.
Until next time....

News and Happenings

CMC is asking me to confirm my order qty. on the Ferrari 250 Testarossa, so that means they are ready to go into production. You know CMC will hit yet another home run with this classic Ferrari. This could very well be "2009 Model of the Year" in 1:18 scale. If you don't have your pre-order in, now is the time to ensure you receive this masterpiece from our first wave of stock.

I have had a ton of inquiries about this one already, Autoart Porsche 911 GT3 RS 997 in orange. Coming off the recent success of the 1:12 Ford GT, I'm sure this Porsche will be all that and then some. Look for AA to step up their efforts in the 1:12 scale market big time in 2010.

Heads up for the 1:43 crowd: If you missed any of these first time around, Spark is doing a reproduction on the following Can-Am models. As most of you know, Spark doesn't very often reproduce anything, so one of the few times you'll get a 2nd chance!

Also, we have received the first wave of listings from Spark on the 2009 LeMans grid. Pre-orders are strongly suggested to avoid missing out. More listings coming soon. Their goal is to produce every car that started the race.

Happy Monday!

July 10

Thanks to all of you that emailed me about our idea of having multiple email lists. I'm impressed, didn't think there was that many of you paying attention to my posts. I was contemplating pulling the plug on the blog, but after seeing so many responses I'm going to keep plugging away at it. I will keep all of you informed on what we decide to do with the lists.

We received a ton of new models in the last few weeks. I'm sure most of you know that the easiest way to stay on top of the latest releases is to check out our "new arrivals" link. They are listed by week, and once you click on a certain week you can then select by scale.

This weeks listings you can see here:

In the past I have been putting links directly to the website for specific models. The problem is when items sell out, the links are then dead and bring you to a page that says "Sorry, this product does not exist" So I'm going to stay away from this practice and see how it goes. I owe Katrina a thank you for bringing this to my attention. See, even some of my employees read my madness sometimes.

A bunch of new Autoart from last week.

New 1:43
Spark has some great new releases out.

Summer has yet to arrive here in VT. June was the worst in recent history, not good for my motorcycling career but boy I'm getting a lot of work done!
Enjoy the weekend!

July 3

Happy 4th
Our annual July 4th blow out sale now in progress
Mega bargains to be had. Help us clear the shelves of these sale items as we get ready for the 2nd half of 2009.
Few points of interest:
Those of you that collect 1:43 probably already know that Spark/Bizarre/Redline are the hottest lines going right now. We are selling out a lot of the new releases, sometimes in just one weekend. So if you are interested in say the Can-Am releases, I suggest that you guys start cruising our future release listings for these brands and pre-order. Very rarely do we get re-stock, and Spark does not reproduce very often. They are a "one and done" kind of company.

If you aren't subscribed to our weekly email, you can do so here:
We have started sending the order sheets that we receive from Spark/Bizarre/Reline to our email list. The response has been great and I've had many customers tell me they love the idea.

I need some feedback: we are considering having multiple email lists instead of just one. So if you collect only 1:18 for example, you would be subscribed to our 1:18 list. We would only send you info that pertains to 1:18. Drop me a line with your comments on this topic at:

Travel safe this holiday weekend!
