Mark, I love ya, man; you're the best, most gracious, most thoughtful, and most understanding and compassionate person that I've ever come across in the model car field. I stand and salute you, sir. Also, I for one felt you were being as lighthearted and showed EXTREME restraint of your emotions when you threw that damaged 1/18th model. I could not have been so kind. Do you know who AMR was? Well, I bought a BEAUTIFUL 1/43rd pro-built and limited edition out-of-stock rarity--a 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO series II Le Mans. I paid a fair price on eBay to a vendor named TRON in Italy. The ignoramus packaged this model in a plastic display case whereby this precious model was secured with modeling clay----MODELING CLAY! Can you imagine----no screw-down attached model, no styrofoam peanuts or padding, but soft putty. When it arrived, I was stupefied that the idiot would send this beautiful piece in such a manner. Pieces were broken off, and took paint with them. I kept it thinking perhaps I'll have an artisan restore it. Six years have passed and it's still in its box. All this to say, Mark, you were very right to bring up the subject, and had a right to be livid, which you were not. The customers who raised an objection ought to have happen to them what happened to me, but then I do not wish that on ANYONE. God bless you and your family, Mark, on this Holy day as we celebrate Good Friday, marking the supreme sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I hope we meet some day; I want to give you a brotherly bear hug. My dear wife Esther will not mind; she will understand. We're staying safe, you do the same, and thanks for the words of precaution!
