M-B Patentwagon 1886

OK the ebay seller listed this as a 1:8 Franklin Mint.
I know FM did produce this model back in the day.

But look at the tag, Made by CMC?
Anybody have any knowledge of CMC ever producing
this one? Maybe an exclusive for Franklin Mint?

I have been dealing with CMC since day 1 and have
never seen or heard of them doing this model.
Love to hear from anyone that has more info.

Thanks to long time customer Jim S. for bringing this to my
attention. And Jim is the proud owner of this sweet find too.

Vettel 3 in a row

I know the majority of you including myself were pulling for
Fernando/Ferrari, they did everything they could and Vettel
was fortunate to say the least. Very lucky that he didn't get
tagged when he was sitting in the middle of the track facing
the wrong way. Vettel becomes only the 3rd man to ever win
3 Championships in a row. Two incredible races to close out
the 2012 season. March can't come quick enough. Oh yeah,
Minichamps is already showing the 1:18 as sold out. Get those
pre-orders in now if you collect World Champs.

1:18 Marmon Wasp update

Here's a few photos we just received from the factory.
Not the best images but you can clearly see the progress
that we have made since the last sample. This sample will
arrive to us on Tuesday. If all looks good we give them the
green light to start production.

Yes we are guilty of many delays with this model.
Brian and I consider this to be "thee" most significant Indy
500 winner of all time. We want to produce the most
accurate and well detailed model we can while still
keeping the price affordable for the average collector.

As most of the you know, originally this was going to be a
sealed body design. Well as you can see we decided to
change that plan and the model has a fully wired and
plumbed engine. This was one of the delays that we feel was
well worth the effort. It looks great and we hope you guys
feel the same way.

We are still accepting pre-orders. Realistically this is
now a 1st qtr 2013 arrival. By the time we deliver it
we may be sold out. We have pre-sold approx. 75%
of the production run. Don't get caught snoozing on this
one!
