Farewell to a dear friend

On Monday Nov. 13, our good friend and long time Replicarz
customer Tim Vickridge passed away just a few weeks shy of his
58th birthday.. R.I.P. Tim! This incredible man from Western
Australia fought a long hard battle with pancreatic cancer. After
beating it twice over a five year period, unfortunately he lost the
third round to this deadly disease.

Tim still holds (and probably always will) the record for traveling
the longest distance to visit us here at Replicarz in 2006. He was
extremely passionate about his collecting hobby. Anything to do
with Australian drivers was one of his themes, military aircraft
another, along with owning just about every Gilles Villeneuve model
ever produced. I'm told by those close to him that his entire Gilles
Villeneuve collection is being donated to the Gilles Villeneuve
Museum in Canada. What a great thing to do! Tim was also responsible
for bringing so many new customers to Replicarz over the years. His
word of mouth advertising for us was a regular occurrence, and
we very much appreciated his help in spreading the word. Notice he's
wearing one of his Replicarz t-shirts in the top photo. He has touched
the lives of so many in our hobby, Tim will be dearly missed by all
that knew him, including myself.

Club Motorsports Radical SR3 RS

Here's a quick clip from last Friday at Club Motorsports with SCDA.
Brand new track in Northern NH. 2.5 miles and 250 ft. of elevation change.
The beautiful scenery of the White Mts. as the back drop is kind of distracting.
Silky smooth to say the least. The Radical ran flawlessly for two full days of abuse.
We were the first club to run at this brand new facility that just opened Labor Day Weekend.
Turn up the volume and enjoy!

Friday 9-8-17

Sorry guys, no blog video this week. I'm attending a two day track
event at Club Motorsports in northern NH. SCDA is the first club
to run here, as the track just opened on Labor Day Weekend.
It's being labeled as the best new track in America. The surrounding
white mountains give an incredible back drop to this fantastic layout.
Thursday the weather was perfect and all I can say about the track is
WOW. I will have some video posted next week. If you want to learn

1:18 Scarab project

Our first 1:18 Scarab will be the 1959 Meadowdale winner driven
by Jim Jeffords. AKA the Nickey Nouse car. Below are some
comparison photos of the previous prototype versus the latest one
we just received. Brian has been working hard to get the engine bay
correct, as well as the side pipes. He is relentless!

Now the engine bay. Our factory was ready to go into production,
but Brian said no way. Hey, maybe I'm biased because he's my
brother, but this guy is good!

This is the old design. A meager attempt at best.

Much cleaner with accurate fittings, and notice
the correct color and shape of the headers.

Even the cockpit has been cleaned up a bit.
Hopefully this shines a little light on the revision
process that we go through to get even the small
details as accurate as possible.

Offset Roadster. Although it never qualified for the big show, to
this day it's referred to as one of the great creations of many that

Palmer Motorsports Park in the Radical

For those that aren't familiar with this track, it's located in Palmer, MA. Very new track, only been open a few years.
Long, silky smooth, and tons of elevation change. (over 200 ft. from lowest point to highest)
This short clip ends with my first spin in the Radical due to over acceleration coming out of a low speed corner.
The good news is I didn't hit anything and the only thing hurt was my ego LOL

Down but not out.....

Sorry guys, no blog video this week. I have been out since Monday
with viral bronchitis. No fun at all. It takes a lot for me to miss a
single day of work, but three in a row means I'm down and out.
Feeling a little better today so hopefully the worst is behind me.
Had a blast in Montreal last weekend. The week that followed not
so much.

So glad I got to meet up with long time Replicarz
supporter and my good friend Steve Atiyeh of Montreal.
We had a great time walking the streets together and Steve
gave me and the family an awesome tour of the city.

1939 Boyle Special Indy Winner

to victory by Wilbur Shaw. The model came out fantastic! Superb
paint finish, Brian nailed the color! Fully wired and plumbed engine
(which they said nobody can do engine detail with resin cast models)
